When you feel in pain, when you think that you cannot hold on to life anymore, let me share some tips for you to live continually and, eventually, joyfully.
Life is full of unpredictable happenings. You rise, you fall, and you ride stagnantly. In this roller-coaster journey, it may difficult to think and handle all of the situations in one. We should believe in a metacognitive way.

(Metacognition — knowledge and understanding of your own thinking)

Now, if you think you know yourself, that doesn’t end there. You have to understand why you think that way and how your emotions and thinking were affected by the combination of all circumstances.

1. EXPECT THE WORSE

If a person disappoints you, remind yourself that life is full of disappointment. Growth doesn’t come from a comfort zone. Allow yourself to accept that life is not perfect. The world itself is full of fractured, destroyed, brokenhearted people. You are not alone. Don’t be scared to play with challenges and disappointments. You are not safe in the evilness of this world. Fight it with heads on. When you always expect great things in your life, you will be disappointed if that thing wouldn’t happen.

  1. BE PATIENT

I know your dreams are big. Your visions are clear. However, it would be best if you were patient. Allow yourself to enjoy every moment. Some people would always advise you to chase what you want and run after the success you see for yourself. But dear, you are just chasing a wind. Many beautiful things you think about the future, but allow patience and peace to control your thoughts.

  1. LIT UP THE FIRE IN YOUR HEART AND BE PERSISTENT WITH GOOD HABITS.

Life is full of competition. You see yourself running in a race where you think inferior to those who run faster and to those who were given the privilege and connection to rise up and win. I won’t tell you to stop comparing yourself to others; however it’s a red flag that you are in the wrong competition. You must compare yourself to your old self. If you feel less of a person or hidden, remember the day you lit up the fire inside your heart. That person is you. The sudden moment you felt the fire and magic inside you that never ends for who you are. You are a definition of your habits and lifestyle. Be persistent with a good daily routine. Do exercise for your mind, body, and spirit.

4. COMPETE WITH YOURSELF

Continually, this advice is the most cliché advice you would ever hear. However, it’s hard to apply in life. Truth be told, most of the time, you don’t compete with yourself but compete with society, compete with people’s expectations, and compete with someone you wished you were. Nevertheless, you are you. You are unique and lovely. Learn to be grateful, loving, and forgiving. Stop your thoughts that you should be like that person, like that person that people looked up to, that leader, that mentor, that influencer, and those you feel who are above you. No, you should be like this because you are happy to be like this. You should be yourself.

5. ALLOW BEAUTIFUL THOUGHTS

If you feel trapped in your past, always remember that life isn’t circulating in that particular incident. You still have your future. It may hard to move on and wake up with anxieties, but your future is beautiful. Think of it as something beautiful, better, the reborn version of you. That person is not the same anymore, and that person is braver and more inspiring. Allow the good thoughts in your mind. Fight evil with good.

6. WORK HARD

Work hard in a way that your heart is patient. Working hard with no time to yourself and to the people around you is not a road to success, it is a road to slavery. Enslaved with time, pressure, and insecurity. Long to do good things and inspire. Work hard to make yourself and the people around you happy not to make yourself look like a successful-yet-mindless-heartless-pretentious-person.

7. LIVE MORE. THINK LESS.

Another cliché thought. But undeniably, sometimes you feel a lot about how to survive and how to make yourself look like an unbothered yet successful maggot. Invest for experiences. Go out and live life as if it’s your last. Go to your closest friend, remind her how beautiful and valued she is. Go to your grandmother, hug her, talk with her, and learn something from her. Appreciate small things. Appreciate talks, enjoy laughter, appreciate the noise of countryside, the silence of town at early nights. The seasonal waves of the ocean, the stories of people, the stories of the rich and their fall, and the voiceless truth of inspiration. Treasure memories and learn from the flow of the natural universe. Breathe, live more and think less. You are alive.
